Warm-Up: Organize these terms into push and pull factors in your notebook. Then, chose one push and one pull factor and write a sentence each on how you know they are push or pull factors.
Building Settlements You and your table will be given a country, and you will need to draw what a colonial settlement would look like from that country. You will be drawing this on a whiteboard to start, then on chart paper. You'll need to consider the push and pull factors that got people to the New World, as well as the settlers that came, and interactions with Native Americans. European Cultures Research You will individually complete research on a country that had a population move to America. Each group member at your table will receive a different country. You will need to look for push and pull factors and explain that culture's reasoning for moving to America. If you get done with research on push/pull factors for your country early, answer the questions below, then go to the EXTRAS and answer those!
