![]() Goal setting '19-'20 Think about everything you want to accomplish this school year, in school and out of school. This is your last year at Hoyt, so you need to make the best of it. Think about the different things you would like to improve or accomplish, then make a 5 item "bucket list" on the first page of your notebooks. These should be centered around your life at Hoyt, but don't necessarily need to be academic. You can share these with your neighbor, but you can also keep them private. I will be reading them, though! First, each table should come up with one piece of criteria that everyone in the room will follow. Me first!
You'll have 15 minutes total, to create your "bucket list" of goals, and to write a paragraph about the goal you are most excited for.
Then with the rest of the time, write a few sentences about what you would like me to know about you. This can be positive ("I love history and am excited for your class," or "I play tons of sports and want Hoyt teachers to come to my games!") or concerns you might want me to know about ("I have trouble sleeping, so I might be really tired in your class" or "I'm shy, and being called out for things is really hard on me"). This will help me get to know you and your needs better! In your table teams, decide on items that need to be added to "Be Safe, Respectful, Responsible, and Ready" poster at the front of the room. You need to add at least 2 statements to each tenant, 8 total.
Roles: Writer - Someone different from the game writer! Speaker - someone who will share the statements with the class Runner - someone who will check the poster to make sure there are no repeats Thinker - someone who will ensure that the statements are not too close to those on the poster Sharing: Share two of your best additions to the poster with the class, making sure to not repeat statements from other groups.
